All the markets in Enugu metropolis were shutdown as Nkanu people rallied to press home their request for the Enugu guber position.
They are insisting that the rotation should continue from Enugu East where it started in 1999.
The zoning system in the Governoship position ahead the 2023 election has become controversial with some people be arguing that having gone round should thrown open.

Nkanu would not entertain any other option apart from the existing zoning which started with them in 1999.
