Good morning your Excellency. This is the maiden edition of this novel forum.

The first letter received was on the water project. Your Excellency, Enugu people send their greetings and appreciation for a promise kept. And, for solving one problem Enugu has lived with for decades.

We, thus, start by commending Governor Peter Mbah for fulfilling his first social contract with the people of Enugu State;  providing water in 180 days.
Many did not believe the promise was realizeable. There were doubts.
Hear the Gov; “the promise to provide water within180 days triggered disbelief in most quarters and that is perhaps understandable, realising the countless successive, but fruitless attempts to address the problem.”
We commend him for delivering and raising potable water production capacity from the occasional 2 million litres per day to 120 million litres per day.
Mbah also commissioned a 4.4mw gas-powered plant built by his administration to supply power to the scheme and ensure uninterrupted water supply.
Laudable. Congratulations Enugu. Congratulations Governor Peter Mbah.
Issue (2) Land Fees
The second issue received by Eveydaynewsngr.net is that of Land. We won’t be disclosing identities of sources for obvious reasons; except when they choose to.
Your Excellency your people feel that the new fees introduced for registration of Land are on the high side.
Having followed this administration and its policies, one would realise that the government has set a target for itself and working on raising the bar on internally generated revenue.
The govt has planned so many people oriented projects with little funds. We appreciate this situation.
However, your Excellency, your people are asking for a review of the fees, if it’s possible. May it please your Excellency.
Issue (3) LGA Biometrics Capturing
There is a piece of information for the governor. Your Excellency, one of your subjects wrote to inform you that some employments were allegedly carried out behind the scene.
He wrote: “Those who did employments in the system whose candidates have not been captured by the earlier one done by former Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi are the ones pushing for this. Once they are captured ,their candidates will enter the payroll.”
He continued; “One of the problems with local government is the Development Centers that are not empowered to do anything. If development centers are empowered there will be activities there. If not, let them be collapsed to their parent LGs and staff assigned roles.”
Your Excellency may wish to work with the information provided above.
We appreciate those who contributed to the maiden edition of “Good Morning Mr Governor.” We will also welcome government response if necessary.
Above all, we wish His Excellency gives issues raised the necessary attention they deserve.
