Catholic faithful Wednesday besieged the Enugu Bishop’s Court holding Bishop Callistus Onaga hostage.
The crowd is requesting for their idol Rev Fr.
Ejike Mbaka who was allegedly arrested by security agents Tuesday.
The mob is protesting based on unconfirmed report that the security agents first visited Bishop Onaga who called Mbaka on the phone and handed him over.
The whereabouts of Mbaka was first raised by an arm of the Ohanaeze in a statement that was distributed to the media in Enugu.
Adorationers who arrived for the Wednesday ‘E no dey’ programme were shocked by Mbaka’s absence leading to a protest to the Bishop’s residence.
Parts of the bishop’s house were destroyed by the protesters who demanded for Mbaka.
