Enugu youths hail Ugwuanyi’s humility, accessibility

The Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been commended for his humility and accessibility by youths in the state.

The youths numbering over 1000, gathered at the base event center on Saturday at the instance of Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa (CEO) in his annual event tagged Employability and Entrepreneurship Summit (EES).

The summit which culminated to the launch of his (CEO) book – Think Global, mentored young persons in the different spheres of life’s endeavors from ICT to Agriculture to Real Estate to Auto-mechanics etc.

The highlight of the event was the appearance of H.E Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi the Executive Governor of Enugu State accompanied by the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uchenna Edward Ubosi. The Governor who despite his very tight schedule owing to the worker’s day celebrations spent over an hour with the youths of the state.

The Speaker of the House who spoke to the youths, chronicled his sojourn into politics. He encouraged them to have something doing as a career asides politicking and further encouraged them to stay away from cultism and other social vices decrying how evil it is to kill your fellow youth. He also pointed out that aside physical killing, there is also the killing using the pen, which is very common amongst young persons in the social media.

His Excellency, elated by the passion of young persons gathered in the hall to get things right purchased the book being launched for all the participants at the sum of #2,500 and promised to make out a day to sit down and listen to ideas pitched by young persons to encourage entrepreneurship.

The youths couldn’t hold their joy as they requested and got the opportunity to take selfies with H.E and kept clapping in an uncommon fashion depicting love, admiration and loyalty till the number one citizen of the state left the hall.

Also in attendance were top government functionaries including the commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze and the commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon. Obi Karl Kama ably represented by the SA on science,technology and innovation Hon. Elvis Obi-Nwankwo, the Executive Secretary of the Enugu state Scholarship board Barr. Levi’s Uche Abonyi amongst others.
