The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, South East zone has warned Innocent Bola-Audu to stop impersonating its National President.

The group in a release signed by its zonal Chairman, Comrade Micheal Nwonu, Chairman and Secretary, Comrade Igbokwe Chukwuma Igbokwe, clarified that Bola-Audu was no longer a member of the association and is only claiming to be what he is not.

The statement reads, “The attention of the members of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, South East Zone has been drawn to publications and video by some print and electronic media, where one Innocent Bola-Audu in an interview claimed to be the National President of the Association.

“The Zone is surprised that in this era of advanced technology, some Media outfits will address a non-member as the National President of a reputable Union like the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria without verifying such claim. We consider such news as embarrassing to the entire members of the Association.

“For purpose of clarity, Innocent Bola-Audu was expelled from the Association by the National Executive Council (NEC) at its meeting held in June,2021 at Ikeja, Lagos State for anti-union activities and was replaced by Comrade Tommy Etim Okon PhD.

“He has challenged his expulsion at the National Industrial Court, Abuja and the matter is ongoing and for him to address himself as the National President of the Association tantamounts to sub judice.

“It is important to note that the case of Human Trafficking where he Bola-Audu was discharged and acquitted by an FCT- High Court is between him and the Federal Government and not the Association.

“Bola-Audu should be more concerned on how to resolve issues with his employer and redeem his already battered image in the Federal Civil Service rather than impersonating the National President of our great Union.

“The Zone reaffirms its implicit confidence and loyalty to the Central Working Committee (CWC) led by Comrade Tommy Etim Okon Ph.D, the National President and Comrade Joshua Apebo, the Secretary-General.

“We call on the Media outfit all over the country to endeavour to verify any information relating to the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria before releasing such information to the public to prevent this kind of embarrassment to our great Association.”
