The Save Abia Group has issued a Statement insisting that Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is backing the APC Presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
The group while challenging Ikpeazu to boldly name his preferred Presidential candidate to prove Senator Orji Uzor Kalu wrong.
Leader of the group Comrade Chukwudi Kanu who signed the press release argued that the Orji Uzor Kalu he knows cannot make such an assertion if he doesn’t have privileged Information.
“Even when the governor denied what we all know is the truth, that he has followed his master Nyesom Wike to back Tinubu, he refuses to make a categorical statement.
“All these long grammar and denials wouldn’t have arisen if the governor had declared where his interest lies.
“It’s not enough to say he is not supporting Tinubu. Who are you supporting?
“So long as he is not ready to make such pronouncement, we the Save Abia Group joins the former governor to reiterate that Ikpeazu is supporting Tinubu.
“He is only afraid to own this up in public because he knows it could adversely affect his senatorial election. But, we want to remind you Mr. Governor that we know the truth; Abia people also know the truth. Good luck with your beloved Tinubu.”
