It was a rare show of support and solidarity as Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates were presented with significant gifts of two horses and two rams by young Enugu politician Prince James Chukwudi Otiji.
It was a great day at Aguobu Umumba in the Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State as three candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP came calling at the palace of Igwe Augustine Otiji.
The young politician, Prince Otiji seized the occasion of the courtesy visit by the candidates on the Royal Palace of igwe Augustine Otiji to present special gifts to the candidates which has been widely described as a sign of victory.by the traditional institution.
The candidates include Engr. Osita Ngwu, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senatorial Candidate for Enugu West Zone, Chief Festus Uzor, Chief of Staff to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and PDP House of Reps candidate for Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency.
Also, the House of Assembly candidate for Ezeagu State Constituency Hon Chima Obieze received two rams from Prince Otiji.
Prince Otiji who graded local roads in Enugu East LGA recently said the gifts are significant as it prods the PDP candidates ahead of the coming elections to ride to victory.
In their respective reactions the candidates thanked the traditional ruler and Prince Otiji for the outstanding gesture which shows support and encouragement ahead of the election.
They promised to give the people the desired representation when elected to their various positions.
