A member of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Chinedu Nwamba has urged the members of his constituency to vote for all the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during the 2023 general election.

Nwamba, representing Nsukka East constituency, spoke in his country home, Eha-Alumona, when he organised a Christman get-together for his constituents.

The lawmaker, who said the PDP government led by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi deserved the support of the people in 2023, assured that more dividends of democracy would accrue to the constituency and indeed the entire State.

Hon. Nwamba, who doubles as the coordinator PDP campaign council for Nsukka Local Government Area and Director-General, Enugu Coalition Movement for Peter Mbah, called on the grassroots people to go all out for the party.

He urged his constituents to vote massively for Governor as the PDP candidate for Enugu North Senatorial zone, stressing that, “The Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has the experience needed to give our people quality representation in the Senate.

“The PDP guber candidate, Barr. Peter Mbah also has the capacity to provide quality governance in Enugu State.

“So, my appeal today is that all our candidates, including the House of Reps and Assembly candidates should be voted for. We are loyal party members and we should demonstrate that with our votes.”

At the event, Nwamba again splashed assorted gifts on his constituents at both the ward and local government levels.

N500,000 was given to the party, while the sum of N1,000,000 was donated for the building of town hall by the Eha-Alumona youths.

In addition, the lawmaker also dolled out N1,000,000 to the ten beneficiaries of Ochudo foundation scholarship scheme.

He mandated them “to go all out to campaign for our candidates in the forthcoming general elections and help in providing security information to the security agencies in case of suspicious movements in our communities.”

It could be re-called that same time last year, Nwamba donated nine vehicles and 9 motorcycles for security to the wards in the constituency. He also splashed the sum of N4.5m on 45 constituents who are into different petty trading, a feat that was described as unprecedented.
