The Natural Gas and Auto gas/Electric Equipments Dealers association, NAGEDAN has held its 2nd Annual General meeting in Enugu.
The event which was held on 12th October 2022 provided an avenue for the leadership of the association to address some pressing issues affecting the association.
The meeting which was reportedly held at IPMAN secretariat witnessed a massive turn out of the foundation members of the association, from the six geopolitical zones of the country.
The meeting centred on reports of mobilization and sensitization of stakeholders both at the downstream and upstream of the natural gas sector by various state coordinators.
Speaking during the meeting, the National President of NAGEDAN, Owelle Oliver Ezeike maintained that the benefit of the Association to the members especially the small scale members is so humongous that it should not be neglected.
He emphasised that there is need for all hands to be on deck, to sensitize all the dealers in the natural gas value chain, to embrace the association and enjoy all its benefits in their businesses.
Amongst the topics discussed was the appointment of patrons. Three prominent players in the oil and gas industry were nominated for patronship.
The national president, Ezeike promised to contact them and make the offer officially.
Ezeike further advised members of the association not to use the present shut down of NLG plants to impoverish the masses by creating artificial scarcity and over profitialing in their outlets.
He recalled that the management of the LNG plant had announced a temporary shut down due to flooding menace to their facilities.
He also reminded the members that the LNG plant shut down is only momentary, as they would resume operation soon.
The NAGEDAN boss further asked the public not to engage in panic buying, as there’s no scarcity of the products in the country
