An Enugu bus driver has reportedly set his vehicle ablaze in jubilation, following the recent release of IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu by court.
Recall that the detained leader of the Indegenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was acquitted by an Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, on October 13, 2022.
The news of the Court judgement sent majority of the people of the South East into wild celebration.
Out of excitement, a driver whose identify was yet to be determined as at the time of this report, set his bus on fire as part of his celebration.
A video in social media shows that the incident happened in front of Onitsha South Mass Transit Park at the popular Gholy Ghost Cathedral Enugu, close to the Ogbete Main Market.
Reports say the driver was said to have vowed to sacrifice his vehicle for his leader Nnamdi Kanu anyday he regains freedom.
Nnamdi Kanu’s release has so far been hindered by the Federal Government in controversial circumstances.
