The idea of setting up Caretaker Committees in the 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu may not work this time as being speculated.
EverydayNewsngr.net gathered that unlike in the past, when cartetaker committees were appointed to run the Council Areas for about three months, the current chairmen may remain till March.
Our source informed that the chairmen still have till March to complete their two years term.
The release of timetable for Local Government elections in the state had hightened tension and speculations that the Councils may soon be dissolved.
But our findings clearly indicate that some of the chairmen have already been marked for a second term in office.
All the Chairmen will be in office while Council elections hold in February.
Enugu has remained consistent in the conduct of periodic Local Government election.
