Chelsea fans unite in Enugu for dead colleague who died after FA Cup defeat

Plans are at an advance stage for the meeting of Chelsea fans in Enugu in solidarity with the fan that died last Saturday after the FA Cup defeat to Leicester City.

Late Osondu Umeham reportedly slumped at a viewing centre at Nzekwe Street Asata Enugu.

The late Osondu is a strong Chelsea’ supporter who does not hide his love for the men in Blue.

Everyday News visited Osondu’s family and friends who confirmed that the deceased has not been involved in football bets and didn’t do so in the FA finals.

One of his close friends Gibson Ndu who watched the said match with him confirmed that doctors at the centre gave the deceased the necessary first aid before he was rushed to Parklane Hospital where he died at about 2:am early Sunday morning.

One of the Chelsea fans Mr. Chidiebere Washi told EverydayNews of plans to get Chelsea fans in the Coal City together Inna show of solidarity.

“We are planning to see how we can raise some funds to show convern and support the family for the burial.”

He described the death as a big tragedy and urged Chelsea fans to be part of the solidarity.
