The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, has nominated Mustapha Kwankwaso, son of Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso as commissioner.
Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano, was the presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party in the 2023 general election.
The governor has also nominated Adamu Kibiya, a former Commissioner for Land, who was suspended for making derogatory statements on tribunal judges.

The other commissioners are Usman Aliyu and Abduljabbar Garko.The names of the four nominees have been forwarded to the Kano State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
