“I’ve come to solve the basic issues facing Enugu,” APGA guber candidate

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2023 gubernatorial election in Enugu State, Mr. Frank Nweke Jnr. on Saturday presented his manifesto encapsulating his seven development agenda to Enugu people .
The manifesto is themed “Reigniting the Coal City”.

The event which took place at the Kobb Event Centre, Polo Shopping Mall attracted party faithful from the 17 local government areas of the state.

Frank Nweke Jnr., said purposeful leadership will remain the fulcrum of his administration if elected governor come 2023.

“We will revive a culture of leadership that values honesty, hard work, brotherhood, partnership and an unshakeable focus on the people”. He said.

He also assured of providing good governance by restoring trust in the institution of Government and have no tolerance for corruption and greed adding that public resources will be used for the public good.

On security, the former Minister of Information promised to pursue total human security in Enugu by addressing the State and Non State factors of insecurity, through partnership with security agencies and local communities.

He also assured of ensuring equal treatment under the law and deployment technology to enhance surveillance, data collection and response time.

While speaking on Human Capital Development, the APGA Guber candidate maintained that his administration will prioritise the total well being of Ndi Enugu through sustained investment in values propagation, education, health, security, and environmental sustainability.

On his plans for economic transformation of the state, he said he will make Enugu an investor-friendly industrial destination through a sharp departure from the culture of managing poverty to actively seeking to create prosperity for all.

On Environmental Sustainability & Infrastructure, he stated “we will transform Enugu State through strategic and result-driven investments in water, road construction, sanitation, technology and alternative energy sources – including an emphasis on developing renewable energy technologies & manpower.

Nweke also promised to make Enugu State a technology and innovation destination through the propagation of tech hubs and the related ecosystem activity that sustains them.

He expressed regrets that the EndSARS did not send the right signals to the leaders.
“It’s shocking that we didn’t learn from the EndSARS; that the people can rise up to ask questions and there will be no hiding places.
 
“We have come to right the wrongs in leadership and like I daod, we start by solving the basic issues as a foundation for growth and development of our dear State.”
