Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, EverydayNewsngr.net reports.
The social media has been rife with speculations that the Senator has defected to Labour Party.
The speculations were sequel to Ekweremadu’s withdrawal from the Governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Enugu State.
However, a close aide to Ekweremadu has confirmed that the Senator has not joined any other party.
“There’s nothing like that yet and once there’s, the public will be aware,” he was quoted as saying.
He said consultations are still ongoing for Ekweremadu to get a platform to achieve his ambition.
