Rivers State Governor Simi Fubara may not be given to many words like his predecessor Nyeso Wike, yet the wisdom he has displayed in the on-gong crisis has continued to give him victory.

After all said and done, the election was held and the APC even won a councillor position.
Former Governor Rotimi Amaechi, Chieftain of the APC in the State commended the exercise as free and fair.

However, defeat was so sour to the FCT Minister who recently spearheaded the APC victory against a sitting governor in Edo State. The result is the ongoing burning of Council headquarters.

The police was watching. Made no efforts to stop the violence. No arrest, or any sort of intervention was reported as the carnage spread across the State.

The aim was clear: to draw Governor Fubara into a confrontation that will lead to anarchy and then a call for State of Emergency.
But, unfortunately, a wise Fubara refused to be moved. He remained calm and held back his boys.
President Tinubu was left with no choice than call the police to intervene after three Council headquarters had been razed.

Nigerians have been watching knowing who is behind the carnage.
Of-course nobody expects the untouchable to be queried by security agents.

The godfather has lost two battles in two days.

Is this the beginning of the end?
