2023: Baywood Ibe 4 President Posters: Another wrong move

The quality of the posters which have been sighted in Enugu, Umuhia and other states of the South East speak volumes about its source.
It will take a well planned campaign to convince anyone in the South East, especially those who are politcially conscious, that Baywood Ibe, the Awgu born businessman is not playing a game.

Honestly, this writer at first imagined the poster could be for the Enugu State APC Chairmanship position because that is the only politcial contest that could warrant a poster, at a time like this; certainly not 2023 electiion.

Its spread in the South East has further ellicited discussions and argument with majority agreeing it’s a very bad move for the Igbo Presidency project.

If it was done to test the ground, it failed on arrival because the tussle for who produces the next president is not yet settled.
Even if such kite should be flown, certainly not the man in the poster. Not that he is not qualified, No! Because it doesn’t send the right message.

Flying Ibe’s posters at this time may be suggestive and it is already sending controversial signals.

Some have described it as a hatchet job for a Northen aspirant; just as others think it’s a deliberate ploy to destabilize the zone and favour another interest elsewhere.

Many do not see Baywood Ibe as a Presidential material! and that is the basis; the root! the foundation of the current controversy surrounding the poster.

A successful businessman and philanthropist, Ibe is still seen as a political neophyte that is yet to cut his teeth in local politics. Such that nobody from his state, Enugu will take him serious except he is working for someone.

For whatever reason, the poster and it’s timing is condemnable. It surely looks an anti Igbo Presidency project.

The Igbo Presidency is not a cheap project and must not be trivialized.
