Traditional rulers of Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State have commended the Supreme Court judgement which upheld the election of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
In a statement made available to the media the royal fathers expressed joy that the court respected the mandate Enugu people gave to Mbah as their governor.
The message read; “we The traditional rulers from Awgu Local Government Area extend our sincere goodwill message to His Excellency Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on his well deserved victory at the Supreme Court.
“This is the best Christmas package for Enugu. We must say that Enugu is lucky to have Peter Mbah as the Governor. Not even the court matter could distract him as he hit the ground running.
“Within the short period of time, he has given Enugu water. He has also initiated many other project that will impact on the lives of the majority of the people.
“We the traditional rulers from Awgu are behind you and will do our bit to ensure your overall success. Congratulations your Excellency.
“We also congratulate Senator Osita Ngwu representing Enugu West Senatorial Zone and the member representing Awgu/Oji-River/Aninri Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Anayo Onwuegbu (Ebube Enugu State) wishing them all the best this Christmas and New Year.
