Contrary to our earlier eeport that Enugu based lawyer Barr. Goddfrey Ekoh collapsed in court, his close associate and colleague, has come to give details of what happened.
A senior Enugu lawyer, Barr. CNN Nwagbara who was with the deceased at the Appeal Court said the deceased did not collapse in Court.
Rather he noted that Ekoh had handled two of his matters in the court. “I was outside with him and I noticed he was finding it difficult to talk.
“He didn’t slump. I was with him yesterday till 9 p.m. I was also with him at the Court of Appeal today. He had signs of stroke. He had crises while driving to his office. He was later driven by his junior who took him to his doctor at trans Ekulu. His doctor referred him to Park lane. There was no bed space at the part lane.
“He was rushed to Annunciation Hospital where he was confirmed dead. His body has been deposited in the mortuary at Mount Carmel Hospital, New Haven Enugu.
“He was a friend, ally, and brother. He was a jolly good fellow. For about ten years we attended NBA conferences together and shared hotel accommodations. May his soul rest in perfect peace. CNN.
