Enugu PDP primaries: Asadu congratulates Vita Abba, others

Member representing Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Pat Asadu has congratulated his opponent in the just concluded House of Reps Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Engr. Vita Abba.

Abba defeated Asadu to pick the paty ticket in the primaries held in Enugu State in Sunday.

In a congratulatory message the lawmaker, also congratulated the winners of the various primary elections including Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who picked the Senate ticket for Enugu North Zone.

He also sent words to former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani who won the Senate ticket for Enugu East Zone, Dr Chimaroke Ogbonnia Nnamani and Hon. Osita Ngwu popularly known as RG, who won the ticket for Enugu west.

Asadu who spoke after he received both Engr Vita Abba and Dr Dan Shere in his country home at Ovoko on Wednesday reaffirmed that he had earlier sent his congratulatory message to Engr Abba after his nomination adding that he has been a beneficiary of the same type of support from both the Governor and Engr Vita Abba in the past and as such, has accepted the outcome of the congress.

Dr Asadu also appreciated the entire good people of Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal constituency for the support he has enjoyed since his voyage into politics in 1999.

He further thanked the Executive Governor of Enugu state for ensuring that the PDP primaries is going on smoothly without any form of rancour while assuring him of his (Asadu) support in the journey ahead, adding that he is proud of his relationship with the governor, irrespective of what anyone may think.
