Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has
condemned the increasing attack on politcial opposition in Ebonyi and Imo states.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Enugu the pro Biafra group warned that the attacks and killings must stop.
MASSOB warned governments of Ebonyi and Imo states to stop the increasing intimidations, harassments and killings of the citizens of their respective states because of political differences.
Describing the situation as unfortunate the group said, anarchy, insecurity and lack of respect for the rule of law is taking over the states.
“The Governors of Ebonyi and Imo states has forgotten that in less than six months and fourteen months respectively, their political tenures shall elapse and they will be dragged to international criminal court of justice over the heinous crime, they committed against humanity and citizens of their respective states.
“MASSOB wishes to make it clear that any politician in Igbo land who kills our people will be banished after he may have gone out of office.”
MASSOB accused the governments of Ebonyi and Imo states of using Ebubeagu Security Outfit against the candidates of Labour party, APGA and PDP in Ebonyi state while in Imo state, the candidates of PDP, APGA and Labour Party are suffering same persecutions.
“It is very unfortunate that the security agents in Ebonyi and Imo states cannot protect the innocent citizens of these states, and have failed to make any arrests.
