National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) arrived Enugu Monday for its NEC meeting.

The ALGON executives led by National President Hon. Alabi Kolade David are scheduled to hold the meeting Monday night
at the Enugu State ALGON Secretariat, Independence Layout.
Enugu State Chairman of the Association Hon Solomon Onah who received the NEC/BOT members at the Nmamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Enugu told newsmen that crucial matters affecting the Local Governments in Nigeria would be discussed at the Enugu meeting.
The meeting which is coming at a time the country is battling with security issues is also expected to explore possible ways of handling security especially at the local government level.
The meeting is expected to come up with a communique which will highlight major resolutions.
