Benue State Police Command said yesterday that one of its sergeants had been arrested in connection with culpable homicide in Kastina-Ala Local Government Area of the state.
It was learnt that on June 26, Sgt. James Aondona was briefed on his schedule of duty and posted to an observation point at Ngibo, Kastina-Ala Local Government Area.
The sergeant reportedly engaged in an altercation with one Mr. Aondohumba Terkula, whom he allegedly shot and killed.
Police spokeswoman Kate Anene confirmed the incident, adding that an investigation had been launched.
