Enugu state police command says it has recovered a red Toyota Rav-4 Jeep belonging to missing Nollywoood actress Cynthia Okereke.

A statement signed by the Enugu Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Daniel Ndukwe said the vehicle was found Friday 29/07/2022.

He said the recovery was sequel to a tip-off at about 7.30am, Friday, “that a red-coloured Toyota RAV4 Jeep with reg. no. AGL 199 CY, was noticed to have been parked in an abandoned way at Four-corners, along Enugu/Port-Harcourt Expressway, Ozalla, Nkanu West.
“Hence, the location was visited and the vehicle recovered. Coincidentally, at about 11.30am of same date, a report was further received stating that the vehicle belongs to one Cynthia Okereke (f), a Nollywood Actress, who was last seen on 26/07/2022.
“Meanwhile, while the current report at our disposal dwells on a case of abandoned and recovered vehicle, as well as missing person, investigation has, however, been launched to locate the said person and unravel the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. Further development will be communicated.
Two Nollywood actors, Clemson Cornel popularly known as Agbogidi and Cynthia Okereke have been reportedly abducted yesterday, while filming in Enugu State.
According to a statement released on social media, by the Director of Communications, Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, Mrs Monalisa Chinda-Coker, the family of the actors confirmed that they haven’t returned home since they left a film location at Ozalla Town, Enugu.
The statement reads in part: “The two members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Cynthia Okereke and Clenson Cornel aka Agbogidi were suspected missing after their family members confirmed they didn’t come back from a film location at Ozalla Town, Enugu State.
“The two members were suspected to have been kidnapped and this has increased fear amongst members about the safety of actors filming in the country.
