An attempt by unknown gunmen to attack Isi-Uzo Police Division of the Enugu Police Command was repelled Tuesday by Police Operatives on duty.
A statement from the Enugu Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Daniel Ndukwe said many of the miscreants escaped with gunshot wounds, while one of the police Operatives who sustained gunshot wound is receiving treatment and in stable condition.
The police statement said tactical Police Operatives of the Command are on the trail of armed hoodlums, suspected to be members of the outlawed IPOB/ESN group, who stormed the station in their numbers at about 4.30am,
