Bandits have killed at least five farmers in Barkeji village in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State in the Northwestern part of Nigeria.
The farmers were Killed during an attack at the village which is situated at the Northwestern part of Kaura Namoda the second largest city of the state, at a distance of lest than five kilometers away from the local government headquarters.
A resident of the village who spoke on condition of anonymity said, the criminals arrived the village Sunday night in their numbers, shooting sporadically, during which they killed 5 residents and left one in a critical condition.
According to him, the injured person is at present receiving medical attention at a Health facility in the state, saying “we are mourning the deceases”
Police couldn’t be reach to confirm the incident as at press time.
