There was palpable tension in the Iragbiji community the headquarters of Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State when robbers invaded a new generation bank on Tuesday.
It was gathered that the robbers stormed the bank located around the Oniyere area via the Palace of the hometown of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola around 3:12 pm.
It was learnt that the robbers were shooting into the air to scare the residents.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps(NSCDC) Daniel Adigun confirmed the incident.
A police alert has also warned motorists and residents to avoid the area as gun is on going with the robbers.
At least one person is believed to have been shot dead by the robbers.
