As part of activities to wind up a successful eight years administration Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State on Friday, inaugurated the first ever stadium in Enugu North Senatorial District, the 5,000-seat Nsukka Township Stadium, constructed by his administration.

Governor Ugwuanyi expressed delight that the ultra-modern stadium fitted with tartan tracks and astroturf for track and field competitions as well as the full complement of other ancillary facilities including floodlights has been superbly completed for public use.
The governor said that “the good people of Enugu North Senatorial District will definitely relish the opportunities that this sporting facility will unleash especially the development of sports talent among the youths.”
He congratulated the contractor, COPEN GROUP, for quality and timely delivery while appreciating the State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure for expert supervision, saying: “It is therefore my profound honour to formally inaugurate this engineering masterwork, to the Glory of God and benefit of the good people of Nsukka Cultural Zone and beyond.
