Fiery Catholic priest and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka has urged the people of the State to be careful in casting their votes ahead March 18 elections in the State.
Speaking in a sermon at the Adoration ground on Sunday Mbaka condemned the gruesome murder Labour Party Senate candidate for Enugu East Zone Barr. Oyibo Chukwu.
Said he: “he did not die alone. He was killed alongside six others who were with him. They were set ablaze.”
He also recalled the attack and killing of one of the drivers to PDP Reps candidate as well as the attack on the APC Governoship candidate Hon Uche Nnaji.
Please my people, don’t vote for those who have no respect for human life.
Mbaka made it clear that he has not endorsed any candidate but noted that he has the right to pray for and bless those who come to seek his blessings “as God’s prophet.
“As a Spiritual father, all the candidates are my sons and it is my duty to pray for and bless them all.

“They are all my sons. Some play for Chelsea, some for Arsenal, some Manchester United or Barcelona. I bless all of them but I will not play your football for you, it’s left for you to play and win”

Mbaka urged the electorate to ensure that they elect credible leaders instead of selling their votes and mortgaging their future.

Mbaka said that he is not after the name of any leader, but is only interested in anyone who will use the opportunity to serve to bring joy to the people.

He stressed that the primary duty of leaders is to bring joy to the people that asked them to lead them at all times.
