The saying “one good turn deserves another” is an ancient proverb credited to a Greek storyteller, Aesop, who lived in the 500s B.C. and documented in his story book, ‘The Serpent and the Eagle.’
The summary of the story is that a farmer saved an eagle from a serpent but unknown to the farmer was that the serpent had spat his venom being poison in the farmer’s drinking flask during their struggle. When the serpent was gone and the farmer was about to drink from the poisoned flask, the eagle flew in and knocked the flask down from the farmer’s hand saving the farmer from being poisoned.
In a simpler understanding, One good turn deserves another means that when someone does a favor for you, you should do a favor for them in repairment; kindness should be rewarded with kindness.”Likening the story to what H.E. Sen. Ken Nnamani did for the Nigeria’s democracy by standing strong and saving the country from the Third Term plot (Tenure elongation) that would have thwarted the Nigeria’s democracy is a responsibility delivered with precision.
Despite the inducements and pressure mounted on the 5th Senate, the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ken Nnamani saved the Nigerian Constitution and its Democracy that all Nigerians enjoy today. But be it as it may, it is only humane and incumbent on the Nigeria Republic to reward Sen. Nnamani with greater responsibility being the Presidency of the Nigeria at this very important moment in our history because one good turn deserves another.
There are certain selfless actions one takes that signifies credibility, integrity and utmost character personified that transcends beyond tribal sentiments but exemplifies statesmanship. What Sen. Ken Nnamani did for Nigeria is beyond characterization of a tribe but a unifier of one Nigeria. This is exactly what the country needs now to calm the nerves of those playing up tribal sentiments with unabating security challenges in the country that has more or less become the order of the day.
The North and South elite politicians in APC should thinker on adopting Sen. Ken Nnamani as its consensus Presidential candidate knowing fully well that it is better for one to hold onto someone, who has been tested and trusted with serious National responsibility than trying to field a candidate, who has not been tested with such an exalted National position as the President of the Senate, 3rd highest political office in Nigeria.Senator Ken Nnamani (SKN) saved the North! SKN saved the South!! SKN saved Nigeria!!!
The reward for a job well done is the opportunity to do more. This is the right time for him to take Nigeria to a greater height that we are clamoring for.SKN, SOLDIER ON. YOU ARE A TRUE NIGERIAN TO THE CORE.
