Top Anambra guber candidate, Ben Etiaba has described the death of Mrs Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi, wife of late Nigerian Head of State, Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi as a sad one.
In a statement made available to EverydayNewsngr.net Etiaba described the death as a sad one.
The Action Aliiance guber candidate for the Anambra guber electiion further wrote; “Mrs Aguiyi-Ironsi will forever be remembered and celebrated for the way she lived a dignified life, and for various selfless roles she played after the death of her beloved husband.
“She was a woman of peace and goodwill. My heartfelt condolence goes out to her family. This is a great loss to the entire Igbo nation and her legacy will forever be charised.”
On Lady Okpara’s death Etiaba wrote…
“What a day. The passing of another Icon of the Igbo nation was also announced today.
“Lady Adanma Okpara died in the early hours of August 22nd, 2021, it was reported.
“After many years following Dr M.I Okpara’s (M.I POWER) death, his ever loving wife Lady Adanma, gets to reunite with my hero, this time forever.
“Lady Adanma Okpara was always beside the late great legend ‘M.I Power’ at all times in the six years he brilliantly led the Eastern Region of Nigeria.
“My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Okpara family and friends.
“As a strong believer and disciple of the M.I Okpara brand of selflessness in leadership, I will make every effort to uphold his principles of selfless and result-oriented leadership at any given opportunity to serve.”
