Purported Bamboo Bridge has ceased to exist for many years now -Enugu lawmaker

Member representing Nkanu East in the Enugu House of Assembly Hon Paul Nnajiofor has dismissed a recent claim in the social media that Nkanu East has resorted to use of Bamboo bridges.

Nnajiofor who described the claim as mischievous stressed that “there is no such bridge or rural infrastructural decay within my Nkanu East Constituency.

Hear him; “Hon Engr Uchenna Nwobodo is actually living up to expectation in complementing Gov Ugwuanyi’s rural transfornational drive especially as it affects Nkanu East.

“Recently the people of Mbulu Owo rolled out the celebration drums in jubilation for the completion of the earth work, opening up, grading and lateriting of about 2 kilometer rural access road spanning from Health Centre, Onu Ogbodo, Isiaah to Enugu Abakaliki Expressway by RAMP 2 projects.

“The project has about 4 double culverts, Stream crossing mini bridges, side drain etc completed and fully sponsored and funded by the Ugwuanyi led administration.

“The road maintainance work for Agbani Ugbawka/Nara/Nkerefi axis is another show of concern by the current State Government to constantly reduce the plight of rural dwellers in the southern wing of Nkanu East. .

“The hired and sponsored story by enemies of this Government on the Bamboo Bridge in Nkanu East is still one of the efforts of haters to discredit the efforts of Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

“They got it wrong again because we all know it was a cooked lie aimed to be sold to the vulnerable public unfortunately no one believed them nor paid attention to it hence the silence that greeted the publication. We in Nkanu East LGA are wiser now.”
