The Ebonyi State Governor, Chief David Umahi yesterday directed the Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner, Dr. Kenneth Ugballa to immediately issue query to the Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Mrs. Chinyere Nwaogbaga and her Ezza North Local Government counterpart, Dr. Mrs. Nora Aloh over the burning down of INEC officers in 2 local government areas of thr state.

Others to receive the query includes, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Barr. Samuel Okoronkwo and the Senior Special Assistant on State and Local Government Affairs, Hon Enekwachi Akpa.

Briefing Journalist shortly after the State Executive Council Meeting at the Old Executive Council Chamber Government House Abakaliki, the State Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr Uchenna Orji noted that the state government frowned at the unfortunate attack and urged the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators.

Barr. Orji stated that EXCO also frowned at the inability of those to be issued query to nip the attack on the board adding that they are expected to respond why disciplinary action should not be taken against them for failing in their duties.

He noted that EXCO had warned every Government functionary to rise against security challenges in their locality and show diligence failing to ensure that will attract disciplinary action.

Barr Orji stated also that the State Governor, Chief David Umahi during the Executive Council Meeting effected a minor cabinet reshuffle.

According to him, the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Chief Clement Nweke is to serve as the acting Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development pending when the State House of Assembly confirms his appointment while the Chief of Staff Government House, Mrs. Queen Agwu have been deployed to serve as the Principal Secretary to the Governor.

Barr. Orji noted that currently, the office of the Chief of Staff is vacant as the Permanent Secretary was directed to see to the handover on behalf of government for the former Chief of Staff. Ends.
