The Nkanu people of Enugu East Senatorial Zone has summoned an all stakeholders meeting on Sunday April 18, 2021 in response to the vexed issue of zoning which is dominating discussion in Enugu currently.
The meeting which is being convened by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi is scheduled to hold by 2:pm at the palace of Igwe Julius Nnaji at Nike.
The meeting is expected to be attended by All major stakeholders from the zone, ranging from current to former poliitical office holders and appointees.
These includes former LGA chairmen, past and present party executive from ward to state level, House of Assembly and National Assembly members, past and present.
Members of the State Executive Council, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Special Assistants, other opinion leaders and other prominent members of the Zone.
The meeting is expected to respond to the various argument, positions, being put forward over the issue of zoning in ENUGU state.
For the first time Nkanu people and Enugu East will take a position on zoning ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Enugu State.
It is a meeting political observers cannot wait to hear it’s outcome and resolutions.
