The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, is currently in a closed-door meeting with heads of all the security agencies in the state.

Our correspondent gathered that the emergency meeting taking place inside the Government House in Owerri is happening following the Monday morning jailbreak at Owerri Correctional Centre and the razing of Imo State Police Command headquarters by unknown gunmen.
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, who confirmed the security meeting to our correspondent in a telephone conversation, said that the government was on top of the situation.
The Commissioner stated that the governor would address the people of the state in a statewide broadcast immediately he’s done presiding over the emergency meeting.
