Gov. Ortom rescues 10 accident victims

At least ten passengers in a commercial vehicle involved in a horrific motor accident along the Akwanga axis of Nassarawa State were immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment, courtesy of Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom.

Ortom, who was on his way to Abuja at the time of the incident, also ordered that the victims’ hospital bills be paid.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened when the driver attempted to avoid a head-on collision with another vehicle, in which at least ten passengers were injured to varying degrees.

The Benue State Governor’s convoy arrived at the accident scene just in time, with passengers sitting helplessly on the bare floor.

According to the driver, the vehicle veered off course to avoid colliding with another vehicle approaching from behind.

Even more people were drawn to the chaotic scene.

Their evacuation to a medical facility was immediately organized by the Governor.

It is hoped that once they have been cleared by medical personnel, they will be reunited with their loved ones.
