A crack police squad which stormed the troubled Oruku Community has arrested about six persons even as a policeman was injured.
Guns were said to have been recovered in the raid which was carried out own the early hours of Friday.
One of the policeman who went for the raid reportedly sustained gunshot injury.
The Oruku community has been engulfed in a renewed crisis which was sparked off by the killing of their traditional ruler.
The Vice chairman of the Oruku town union was recently shot dead with over 77 houses burnt.
in an attempt to arrest the situation the state government has imposed curfew in the community.
A government statement signed by the commissioner of Information Hon Nnanyelugo Chidi Aroh said the curfew is between 6 Pm and 6am daily.
It commences on Thursday February 25th to Wednesday March 31st 2021, in the first instance.
The state Commissioner of Police was directed to take all legal means to enforce the curfew and ensure the arrest and possible prosecution of perpetrators of the heinous crimes.
